Majestic Charm

What are some of your words used to describe "purple"?  Royalty, drama, mystery and yes, majestic?  Mixed with blues, purple can also be described as tranquil, serene and refined.  So it is with our fashion trends this season.  We can be bold and dramatic or simple and refined.

Moving Mauve:

Lilac, purple, violet and mauve!  Purple is the IT color this season.  Isn't it great that everyone has at least one gorgeous purple in their color palette?  The hue is such a refreshing color so be sure to add some "majestic" pieces into your wardrobe.  Use your brown shadows with purple accents like our Eggplant mascara #675 ($16) or our Dark Grape eyeliner #470 ($16) for a sophisticated, updated look.

Art Tart:

Let your own free spirit be the inspiration for this art-inspired trend.   Colors can either be loud and bold or soft and muted.  Keep your accessories to a minimum with this look.  The Art Tart face plays up either the lips or the eyes - not both.  Choose Artic mineral eye shadow #6660 ($10) for that ethereal touch of color, topping it off with our volumizing Fat Lash #652 ($22) for longer, thicker lashes.

Winning Combination:

Go wild with color!  You'll see bright, bold colors mixed with other colors.  Don't be afraid to try out this new look.  My advice is to try it in small doses if you're not comfortable.  Remember, choosing colors in your palette will enhance you.  Wrong colors will stand out, screaming "here I am!"  Wear brown, taupe or beige eye shadows, adding an accent shadow color like Periwinkle #6658 ($10) or Emeraude Jade #1439 ($10) to balance the look.

South Pacific Breeze:

This season's South Pacific Breeze creates Asian-inspired prints with a twist.  What makes this look stylish is the true Asian waist emphasis and luscious prints but in soft, subtle colors.  Keep your overall makeup look lighter but do go bold with your favorite red lipstick like our new Racy Red #926 ($16).
